BLABLA architecture's profile

dormitory/residence hall

The aim of this thesis was to design a dormitory to the site of Sosnova street, Bratislava-Petržalka.
The location is close to the Faculty of Economics where  is the lack of temporary accommodation for students.

I tried to explore new forms of temporary accommodation.
The dormitory is designed for the most successful students who are highly demanded on the labour market

The dormitory is supported financially by banks and consultancies which are highly interested in hiring these students.

The design enables the  social contact between the public and accommodated studets, social contact betweet students and  also the intimacy of the private room.

Dormitory is divided into two accommodation blocks with a maximum capacity of 104 students and indoor public spaces such as  library
that is full of light and sun, worshop rooms and cafeteria.
